도시건축보존계획연구실 (UFCL: Urban Form and Conservation Lab)은 우리가 살고 있는 도시 및 지역사회의 역사적, 문화적, 일상적 장소에 대해 그 특성과 의미를 해석하고, 이들을 보다 나은 질의 생활공간으로 만들어 가려는 노력을 함께 모색하는 곳이다. 도시설계, 도시보존, 도시형태의 분야에서 “역사적 문화적 도시건축 장소의 포용적 해석”, “역사문화 환경의 보존과 지역재생”, “일상의 도시건축과 참여형 동네설계”, “근린환경의 보행성과 걷기 좋은 동네계획”, “건강공공재 오픈스페이스” 등의 세부 연구주제를 탐구한다.
The Urban Form and Conservation Lab (UFCL) covers the research topics, such as the interpretation of historic and cultural places of everyday lives and the planning and design for more livable places for people. The detailed research topics include: “Inclusive Interpretations of historic and cultural places”, “Urban conservation and sustainable regeneration”, “Everyday architecture and urbanism”, “Neighborhood walkability”, “Livable and walkable neighborhood planning”, “Participatory community design” and “Open spaces as public goods for health promotion”
