건축은 사회 구성원들의 욕구를 해결하는 하나의 물리적인 창구로서 작용해왔다. 건축의 시작은 비와 바람, 천적의 공격으로부터 인간의 육체를 보호하기 위한 수단에서 비롯되어 문명의 발전과 함께 변화하는 욕구들을 충족시키기 위해 건축도 발전했다. 선사를 지나 인류의 생활이 점진적으로 생존의 범위에서 벗어나고 물질적 번영을 이루며 욕구는 빠르게 다양화되었고, 건축은 추상화되는 사회구성원들의 욕구를 완벽하게 해결해줄 수 없게 되었다. 이를 바탕으로 구성원들은 건축을 넘어 인테리어를 찾게 된다. 인테리어는 내부의 변화를 바탕으로 욕구 충족의 또 하나의 창구로 작용하게 되지만, 내부의 변화를 건축이 직접적으로 반영할 수는 없었다. 이에 데이터를 기반으로 건축이 내부의 변화를 규정할 수 있다면 건축과 인테리어는 시스템화 될 것이라는 아이디어에서 프로젝트는 출발한다.
Architecture has served as a physical channel to resolve the needs of members of society. The beginning of architecture was from the means of protecting the human body from rain, wind, and natural enemy’s attacks, and to resolve the changing needs of civilization. After passing the prehistoric period, human life gradually deviated from the scope of survival and material prosperity, and the needs of society diversified rapidly, and architecture could not completely resolve the needs of abstracted members of society. Based on this, members go beyond architecture to find interior design. The interior serves as another window for satisfying needs based on internal changes, but architecture could not directly reflect internal changes. Therefore, the project starts with the idea that architecture and interior will be systemized if architecture can define internal changes based on data.
