The Laboratory for Architectural Space explores and analyzes the social conditions of urban architecture and seeks to set architectural agendas. Employing an interdisciplinary approach through active collaboration with sociology, cultural studies, geography, visual arts, and technology, our design research focuses on the contemporariness of architecture. With the results of architecture expanding to encompass various types : from installation to building and the roles of architects expanding into diverse domains, our lab goes beyond listing these various aspects to deliberate the messages that should be contained in these many forms of architecture. The Laboratory for Architectural Space’s goal is to research what architecture is and what architecture could be in this contemporary scene.
