Jason is a British architect with 15-years of professional experience in the construction industry and the founder of Studio POPPOP, an architectural design, and urban research atelier. Before this, he had held the position of Partner/ Project architect at the London-based firm Make Architects and a project leader at MADA s.p.a.m. in Los Angeles and Shanghai. He has worked on multiple award-winning international projects across different sectors, with construction contract sizes ranging from USD $30K-300M in London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Seoul.
His work has been exhibited at the 2010 Venice Biennale and the 2019/20 Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture. Representative projects include London Wall Place (2018, UK), Mercer’s Yard (2017, UK), Growing Together Pavilion (2019, HK), and his Smart City initiative targeting small cities, which received the Seoul Mayoral Award in 2022.
He has taught at Central St Martin, University of Lund, Oxford Brookes University, and mentored young-aspiring architects in the Bartlett/ Open City Accelerate program. To inform his urban research he is undertaking the doctoral program at Seoul National University’s UFC lab.
