Dongwook Hwang is an architectural designer and an artist focusing on taking ‘space’ not only to begin but also to conclude a thinking process. With the utility of technologies and media, he seeks to find and re-interpret spatial element in various 3-dimensional situations which exist between the nature and man-made environment.
(Collaboration: Hoonida Kim, Dongkoo Jung, Taxu Lee, 2020) was an attempt to exploit the validness of digital technologies as an analytical tool and to reconstruct relationship between objects and space. (Collaborator: Dongkoo Jung, 2021) and (Collaborator: Dongkoo Jung, 2021) are the works participating in the 2021 ARKO Art & Tech Festival 《Nothing Makes Itself》. Both works tried to deal with the conditions in a museum and to co-exist naturally despite their apparent unfamiliarity.
