서울대학교 건축학과를 졸업했고 현재 자이라건축 대표이다. 건축가 승효상의 사무실 이로재에서 10년간 수련하며 ‘새들의 수도원’, ‘부산 롯데타워’, ‘노무현 대통령 기념관’, ‘성뒤마을’ 등 다수의 설계를 담당했다. 2011년부터 2012년까지 스페인 마드리드건축학교에서 수학했고 2016년 문화체육관광부 및 한국건축가협회로부터 ‘젊은 건축가 펠로우십’을 받았다. 2021년부터 서울대학교 건축학과에 출강하여 건축설계를 가르치고 있으며 '김태수 크리틱 펠로우십' 수여자로 선정됐다. 저서로는 <건축가의 도시>가 있다.
Lee Kyubin is a principal architect at Zaira Architects & Engineers, a lecturer at Seoul National University. He had worked for 10 years at Iroje Architects & Planners, the most esteemed architectural firm in Korea established by Seung H-Sang, designed and led 20+ architectural and urban projects. He was awarded '2016 Young Architectural Fellowship' by Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism & Korean Institute of Architects and '2021 TSK Critic Fellowship' by T. S. Kim Architectural Fellowship Foundation.
