Professor Moonseo Park got into Department of Architecture of Seoul National University in 1985, completed the courses for a bachelor’s degree in 1989, and graduated master’s course for City Planning at SNU in 1992. In 1998-2001, he received master’s degree and doctor’s degree for Project Management in MIT. After graduation, he worked for the Dept. of Building in National University of Singapore as an assistant professor. Since 2005 he has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Architectural Engineering of Seoul National University, and as a director at LEAN construction research center. Currently, he is teaching about systematic approach for construction, knowledge-based construction etc. He received Honors and Awards : 2010 Best Lecturer of the Year Award, 2007 Best Professor of the Year Award in College of Engineering, SNU.

In construction industry, stakeholders who are related directly or indirectly have to run a project together. In this respect, a number of projects run into trouble due to nontechnical issues such as communication problem. In order to modify this, movement of all construction system should flow in a very integrated, tighten and organic way. Therefor, it would require our way of thinking to be changed. We need to know how each part interact together, and how it affects to behavioral patterns of whole. System-wide way of thinking, organic way of thinking, holistic thinking will make us find clues to solve the colossal dilemma, which challenges to construction industry for thousands of years. I want to discover a process of the solution with students through research activities with students.
