The project started with the fable of the Indian King in ‘the Nirvana Sutra’, about “Six blind men and an elephant. “It is an anecdote about ignorance in which six blind people interpret elephants as imaginary animals by touching them with their hands, but on the contrary, it also shows the possibility of creating a new whole by focusing on the part. This leads to an attempt to redefine space through practical objects that can be touched in architecture, that is, parts. It was intended to realize a space as a sanctuary for an individual through an object ‘doorknob’ where space and body meet directly. Starting with the tension of the handle, the parts of the keybox for the rotation angle, the shape and width of the door, the direction in which the door opens and the curved wall lead to a large room for the individual.
