도심 속 자연 친화 공간
최근 반려식물 열풍이 불고 있으며 이는 시민들의 자연에 대한 수요가 크게 증가했음을 시사한다. 식물은 사람들에게 정서적인 안정감을, 도시에는 쾌적한 환경을 제공하는 등 많은 이점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 식물의 효과를 바탕으로, 회색의 도시에서 바쁘게 살아가는 사람들에게 자연과 소통할 수 있는 녹색 공간을 제공하여 도시를 정화하고 시민들의 녹색 수요를 충족시키고자 한다. 또, 서울시에 따르면 현재 서울시 내 건물의 총 옥상 면적은 166km²이며, 이 중 활용되지 않고 녹화가 가능한 옥상 면적은 약 55km²로 추정된다. 따라서, 본 프로젝트에서는 옥상을 공간 구축의 주요 대상으로 선정하여 시민들에게 녹색 공간을 제공하고, 건물주에게는 수익 창출의 기회를 제공하는 새로운 공간 구축 체계를 제시하고자 한다.
Urban Nature-Friendly Space
The recent surge in the popularity of pet plants indicates a significant increase in citizens’ desire for a connection with nature. Plants offer numerous advantages, including emotional stability and a pleasant urban environment. Recognizing these benefits, there is a growing need to purify cities and fulfill citizens’ green space requirements by providing opportunities for people to engage with nature, particularly in busy and predominantly gray urban areas. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has reported that out of the total rooftop area in Seoul, which amounts to 166kkm², approximately 55km² remains unused and can be transformed into green spaces. Therefore, we propose a novel system for constructing spaces, with a focus on utilizing rooftops, to establish green areas for citizens while offering building owners opportunities for profit generation.
