온양관광호텔에 있는 온양온천은 1960년대부터 굉장히 유명한 관광지 중 하나이다. 국내 기록상 가장 오래된 온천으로 삼국시대부터 역사가 깊은 온천이며 한때 신혼 여행지로 유명하기도 했다. 하지만 코로나와 시설 노후화로 인해 많은 온천과 온천 호텔들이 폐업을 하는 가운데 온양관광 호텔 역시 관광객이 줄고 최소한의 운영만 진행중인 상태이다. 이러한 온양관광호텔 재개발 프로젝트로 아산 온천의 역사를 계속해서 보호하고 유지하며 아산시의 지역 발전에 도움이 되고자 한다.
온양관광호텔은 1호선 역과 도보로 이동할 수 있을 정도로 가까이 위치해 있어 교통적으로 비교적 서울권이 아닌 데에 비해 편리한 위치에 존재하고 있어 차가 아니더라도 온천을 이용하러 오기에 좋은 위치에 있다. 기존의 온양관광호텔은 그래도 온천에 비해 호텔의 역할에 좀 더 중점을 두고 있었는데 이번 설계를 통해 온천의 비중과 크기를 더 늘리는 데에 초점을 맞추었고, 개방적인 야외 온천 공원을 두어 사람들로 하여금 소통의 공간을 제공해주고자 하였다.
또한 구조적으로는 호텔의 캔틸레버 형상에 초점을 맞추어 구조 설계를 진행하였으며, 환경의 경우 크게 Indoor Environment Analysis, Energy Analysis, 두 가지로 나누어 분석을 진행하였고, 시공의 경우 호텔 재개발 시 투자 구조도, 호텔 운영 사업 수지 분석, 그리고 공정표 작성에 대해 설계를 진행하였다.
Onyang Hot Spring in Onyang Tourist Hotel has been one of the most famous tourist spots since the 1960s. As the oldest hot spring on record in Korea, it has a long history dating back to the Three Kingdoms period and was once famous as a honeymoon destination. However, while many hot springs and hot spring hotels are closed due to the corona and aging facilities, the Onyang Tourist Hotel is also in a state of minimal operation with fewer tourists. Through this Onyang Tourist Hotel redevelopment project, we want to continue to protect and maintain the history of Asan Hot Springs and contribute to the regional development of Asan City.
Onyang Tourist Hotel is located close enough to the subway line 1 station on foot, so it is in a convenient location compared to other places outside of Seoul. Existing Onyang Tourist Hotel was still more focused on the role of a hotel compared to hot springs, but through this design, the focus was on increasing the proportion and size of hot springs, and an open outdoor hot spring park was placed to allow people to communicate.
In addition, structurally, the structural design was conducted by focusing on the hotel's cantilever shape, and in the case of the environment, analysis was conducted by dividing it into two categories: Indoor Environment Analysis and Energy Analysis. Also, in the case of construction part, hotel redevelopment, the investment structure diagram, the analysis of the hotel operation business balance, and the design of the process table were carried out.
