History has selectively documented things that are worth remembering. Since it was inefficient to remember the lives of all the individuals, society has ruminated on the common history by paying respect with limited written records of the historical events and figures. 

People refer the present as a hyper-connected society. In order for subjects to be connected with each other free from physical constraints, it is essential for them to be saved in a server as a data format. Thus, even a split second can be recorded regardless of one’s intentions. With the technological development of keeping account of everyone’s information possible, it enabled ordinary people’s everyday lives to flourish. Life is valuable in itself; I imagined a space containing a subject to remember and the methodology of it via a memory medium called server.

Passing through the historical sites related to the military dictatorship and Japanese suppression along the northern slopes of Namsan Mountain at the foot of Yejang in Jung-gu, Seoul, one will face the Seoul Millennium Time Capsule containing 600 cultural assets representing Seoul. The way current memories are treated is far from being confined or artificially chosen by someone. In this architecture, people appreciate the individuals’ reminiscences on the servers placed under their feet. Raising one’s head, the mirror on the ceiling transforms into a screen where one’s past memories and oneself coexists.
