만남의 숲 _ Forest of children after covid-19
포스트 코로나 시대에 아이들이 학교를 가지 못하는 지금, 과연 아이들이 안전하게 등교할 수 있는 학교는 어떤 곳일까? 학교는 친구들을 만나고, 다양한 수업과 경험을 만나고, 자연을 만나는 중요한 공간이다. 이러한 학교 공간의 진정한 역할을 제시하고, 만남이 기피되는 포스트코로나 시대에도 안전하게 갈 수 있는 만남의 공간을 만들고 싶었다.
기존 학교 공간은 직사각형 교실들이 따닥따닥 붙어있고, 전교생이 하나의 급식실을 이용하는 등 코로나에 취약할 수 밖에 없는 구조를 가지고 있었다. 새로운 학교는 모든 교실이 분산되어 있고, 교실과 교실이 만나는 데크에서 건강한 만남이 이루어진다. 모든 층의 교실이 각각 외부공간을 접하고 있어 어디서든 자연으로 나갈 수 있고, 환기와 채광 또한 잘 이루어지는, 코로나에 대응가능한 학교 건물의 프로토타입을 제안하고자 하였다.
다양한 외부 공간에서 아이들이 뛰어놀고, 주민들도 산책하며 지역의 공원처럼 이용할 수 있는 만남의 학교. 학교가 마을의 독립된 영역으로 분리되는게 아니라, 모두에게 열려 있는 숲 같은 공간이 되는 새로운 학교 공간을 제안한다.
Now that children can't go to school after covid-19, what kind of school can children go to safely? School is an important place to meet friends, to meet various classes and experiences, and to meet nature. I wanted to create a meeting space where children can go safely even after covid-19.
The existing school had a structure that was bound to be vulnerable to covid-19, with rectangular classrooms attached to each other and a single cafeteria used by all students. In the new school, all classrooms are dispersed, and healthy encounters take place on the deck where classrooms and classrooms meet. Also all classrooms are exposed to outer space. I wanted to propose a prototype of a school building that can respond to covid-19, which allows you to go out to outer space anywhere and provides good ventilation and lighting.
I imagine a school where children can run around in various outer spaces, and residents can take a walk, and use it like a local park. I proposes a new school space where schools are not separated into independent areas of the village, but become forest-like spaces open to all.
