2024년 제6회 SNU-MOKCHON LECTURE에 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드립니다.

SNU-MOKCHON LECTURE는 목천문화재단 김정식 이사장님의 기부기금을 바탕으로 서울대학교 건축학과가 주관하여 영향력 있는 아시아의 신흥 건축가를 초청하여 개최하는 강연회입니다. 올해는 그 6회째로, 튀르키예의 Emre Arolat Architecture의 건축가 Emre Arolat을 초청하여 강연회 자리를 갖습니다.

강의를 통해, Emre Arolat은 주요 결정이 구체적인 시각적 대응보다는 가장 넓은 의미에서 맥락의 해석을 고려하는 EAA의 건축 설계 과정을 탐구할 것입니다. Emre는 또한 공공 영역을 각각의 프로젝트로 엮어 건축이 공간을 차지할 뿐만 아니라 활기찬 공동체를 강화하고 육성하도록 보장하는 EAA의 전략을 강조할 것입니다. 이와 관련하여, Emre는 다른 프로젝트들과 함께 Zorlu Center, The Museum Hotel Antakya와 같은 프로젝트의 설계 과정을 소개할 것입니다.

The SNU-MOKCHON LECTURE is a lecture series organized by Seoul National University Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering, based on the donation fund of Chairman Kim Jung-sik of the Mokchon Cultural Foundation. Through this fund we invite emerging and influential Asian architects to give a public lecture. This year marks the 6th event, and we are pleased to invite the Emre Arolat, founder & design partner of Emre Arolat Architecture

Through his lecture, Emre Arolat will delve into architectural design processes at EAA in which main decisions consider the interpretation of the context in its widest sense rather than specific visual correspondences. Emre will also highlight EAA’s strategies for weaving the public realm into each and every project, ensuring that architecture not only occupies space but enhances it and fosters vibrant communities. In this regard, Emre will reflect the design processes of projects like Zorlu Center, The Museum Hotel Antakya along with others.
