Architecture and Urban Design
건축설계의 장이되는 도시 및 도시공간에 대해 이해하고, 도시설계에 대한 기본적인개념 및 실무의 틀을 학습한다. 본 교과목에서는 도시공간설계의 핵심을 사람, 장소, 과정, 그리고 디자인의 요소로서 접근한다. 도시건축이 지닌 역사적, 지역적, 그리고 정책적 상관관계의 틀을 이해하고, 도시와 도시인의 삶이 변화해 온 과정과 그 변화에 영향을 주는 구조적 체계를 인지하고, 이를 바탕으로 하는 대표적인 도시설계이론, 사례, 및 관련정책을 이해한다.
이 강좌는 학부생들이 도시론, 도시설계론에 대한 기초 이해를 도모하는 세미나 수업으로 텍스트를 읽고 사례를 학습하였다. 이번 학기에는 도시 이해의 심도를 높이기 위해 서울 도시장소의 현장을 직접 답사한다.
This course is structured as an introductory urban design seminar to motivate students to be familiar with broad concepts and practices of urban design. The course objective is to examine various urban design principles. processes, and products in the context of our long tradition of making places. The goal is to help students have a better understanding of the city and its design. The obectives of this course are: 1. to understand theories and practices of curent urban design issues and future directions; 2. to comprehend complex natures of making urban places through public consensus; 3. to broaden the scopes and roles of professional architects and planners to play roles in urban design; 4. to experience various aspects of policies, processes, players, and products in urban design.
