This course is intended to give students a solid foundation in spatial analysis in the context of architectural and urban studies. Course meetings will consist of short lectures and following seminars. Each student will develop their own research project using the concepts and methods discussed in the course.

1. Understand concepts of spatial representation and calculation
2. Learn data visualize skills and find data sources
3. Utilize various GIS tools to answer spatial questions
4. Develop a “researchable” spatial question
